How to Set up Payments

  • Adding an External Account: To make payments through Online Banking, you will need to add an external bank account in which to make payments from first.

    • Navigate to the Transfer & Payment tab in the upper right corner.
    • Select External Accounts in the drop down menu.
    • Click the Add External Account button.
    • Follow the prompts on the pop up screen to enter your external account information.
    • Compeer will send two microdeposits under $1.00 to your external account to verify. (Please note that these can take up to 1-3 business days to appear.) When you see the microdeposits, return to the External Accounts tab in Online Banking and click the Verify button to enter those amounts to verify your external account.
    • Once verified, your external account will change from Pending to Active and is ready to use.


    Making a One-Time Payment:

    • Navigate to the Transfer & Payment tab and to Make/Edit Transfer & Payment.
    • Select your From and To accounts in the dropdown menus.
    • Select your Payment Option from the dropdown (please use regular payment or payment due/billed for a billing).
    • Set the Scheduling Option to Current or Future-Dated (One-Time) and set the Transfer Date to today’s date.
    • Add a Description if desired and select Continue.
    • The scheduled payment should now display in Scheduled Transfers under Transfer & Payment Activity under the Transfer & Payment tab.

  • Get automated payments set up and never forget a payment again.

    Setting up Recurring (Automatic) Payments:

    • Navigate to the Transfer & Payment tab and to Make/Edit Transfer & Payment.
    • Select your From and To accounts in the dropdown menus.
    • Select your Payment Option from the dropdown (please use regular payment or payment due/billed for a billing).
    • Set the Scheduling Option to Recurring. Set the Transfer Date and Frequency.
    • Add a Description if desired and select Continue.
    • The scheduled payment should now display in Scheduled Transfers under Transfer & Payment Activity under the Transfer & Payment tab.

  • If you prefer to pay by a mailed-in check, please include:

    • Your check
    • Your loan coupon (found at the bottom of your statement) indicating which loan this payment should be applied to.
